Hi All,

I'm new to the whole MS SQL thing so please forgive me for the newb questions.

I have a access db on my laptop that I'm trying to figure out how to upload it into my ms sql db that I have hosted with the lunarpages.

Some methods I've found require the access db to be on the server and then you use ms enterprise manager to import it.

The other one, which seems like the only method I've found, is to recreate all the table structures by hand on the lunarpages serve then do a csv export from my access db and then import it into my table. Is there a way to export the sql and then just run that?

TIA

I don't have a specific answer (since I'm also a newb), but I'd like to know if anyone has used dbQwikSite, to move their Access db to mysql here at LP. dbQwikSite says it can do this without extra coding (it takes existing Access tables and writes out either ASP or PHP code and handles the connections from PC to Host) .  I have not tried it yet - just got the free personal edition to try it out.  I find it odd that a search on the name, dbQwikSite on this forum produces nothing!  Someone must have used it!

There are probably quite a few tools out there but here is one I found that may be useful;
