CPAccelerated2 File Manager - file urls?
« on: September 29, 2010, 08:47:35 AM »
When I log into Control Panel my default is now the CPAccelerated2.  The File Manager interface is very different and I have spent ages trying to do one thing which was so simple with the old File Manager.  It used to be that when you clicked on a file name in File Manager then on the right the complete url of the file showed.  It was easy to copy this url and then paste it into another file, in my case an eBay listing.  Now I cannot find the url of a LunarPages hosted file anywhere.

A few days ago the Legacy File Manager did still have this function, but appears to have now lost this simple but extremely useful information too.

It also used to be that in the old File Manager one could double click on a file and it would open in a new tab.  I can't find how to do this either.

Nor can I find any mention on the Lunar Pages site of this change over or links to a new manual or tutorial on getting around it.

I'm feeling frustrated and unable to do basic tasks that I need to do, which is not my past experience with LunarPages.  Any help appreciated!

".......... with the old File Manager.  It used to be that when you clicked on a file name in File Manager then on the right the complete url of the file showed.  ......"
In my version of the new CP using the "Lagacy File Manager" it still shows the "URL:" as the last item at the upper right list; e.g.,
" URL: http://www.turula.com/400/slides/04h.JPG "  and I can cut'n'paste it as I just did.
Clicking on this as a link opens the file in a new browser window, with the complete url in the address bar.
