I have just gotten a new dedicated server and need to move my domains (the data) over to this new server. When I try to add/on a new domain it won't let me because the DNS information does not match.

I am not ready to really move the domain I want to set it up on the server and when I am sure everything is working right then I will point the domain to the new nameservers of my new dedicated server.

I think there is a way in WHM to change the settings so that I can add an add/on domain without this check but I am not sure what I need to do AFTER I am ready to make sure that domain is setup correct. (i.e. whatever CPanel does to that domain when it adds it as an add/on WITH the check)

As much detail as you can give me would be most appreciated.

Is the setting "Allow Creation of Parked/Addon Domains that resolve to other servers (ie domain transfers)" checked under Tweak Settings in WHM on your new server? If not please try to check it and to create the domain again after the change is saved.

I hope this helps.
