I have to admit...there aren't many but there are a few more I'd rather have over Cpanel.

Just wondering if LunarPages would be interested in getting the info on them. (Backed up with fact pages o' course! Razz )

Hope there's room for improvement...

I do wonder how practical it would be to change the control panel software, bearing in mind that it extends beyond just the user interface for the clients.  After all along with the control panel goes the need to have it connect directly to Lunar Pages' billing systems, server manager software, helpdesk software, auditing software.  So it would mean finding a control panel which is compatible with all their current systems, or replacing all of those also, and then retraining.

The other thing is then changing the software on all of the servers (not just the customer ones), retraining for the techs, not just on the use, but the technical processes and interaction with the coding...

Upgrading control panel software is something which takes a lot of planning, changing it completely is a huge undertaking.

We will be staying with cpanel for the forseeable future.
But we are in the process of upgrading them all and we are also testing fantastico which I'm sure you will love if we decide to implement it on all servers.

The reason it's taking a little time is we have to ensure there are no bugs or errors so I'm currently upgrading one every couple of days or so.
I hope you will enjoy the improvements. Cool

OHH...believe me Stephanie... I don't really mind how much time it takes...just don't really like cpanel (at least in its current form).

However, if the 'other' version is better, way to go! Razz

Also, not trying to be harsh or critical, I was just wondering in general if there was any consideration for other managers.

Thanks again,
Tiger. Thumbs Up

Yes,

It's policy to check any new software out carefully before any changes are made.
I edited my post there as I meant to say fantastico and not fantasia sorry, this will include a whole new package of scripts for a one click install.
The management are constantly reviewing all aspects of the hosting packages so nothing will remain static or boring I promise you  Wink
There are more and more suprises in the pipeline, but with regards to cpanel I really can't say for sure if there will be any plans to replace it in the near future but please look out for forthcoming emails and announcements.  Razz
