I am trying to login into CPanel and it's not working, again.
This is the fifth time in the last two days I have not been able to login using either Netscape or IE, either from the LP main page or from mydomain.com/cpanel.

After entering my user name and password it just sits there while it entertains me with a perpetual hourglass before finally timing out.

I need to administer my site when important changes need to be made. This business of sitting down at my computer with a "50/50" chance of actually getting in is not going to work.

On top of that, when I can actually get in all the information is inaccurate, making it worthless anyway.

Someone at LP needs to either fix the stupid thing or they need to trash CPanel altogether and replace it with something that DOES work.

Trying to login into this thing and "sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't" is not only completely ridiculous but it is absolutely and totally unacceptable.

Hi dt75006

Im sorry your having problems.

Have you tried the alternate options for logging in?

https://domain.com:2096/ (secure access, your domain would replace domain.com)

http://server.lunarpages.com/cpanel (your server would replace server)

If your running a firewall does your computer block ports 2095 and 2096? If it does, you would need to use a proxy to access those pages since they are on ports 2095 and 2096. The only one that is via port 80 is http://login.server.lunarpages.com (replacing server with your server, it will return a Page not found. )

Have you had any greater success uploading using an FTP program?

No, I haven't tried any of the alternate options for logging in.

I log in using www.mydomain.com/cpanel and sometimes it goes right in and sometimes it just sits there and does nothing. I can try to log in during the morning and it works fine and then an hour later it doesn't work, and then another hour later I try again and it works fine.

This business of having 5 different methods of logging in and we're supposed to just keep trying them "until we find one that works" is ridiculous.

And, as I already stated in my previous message, after you do finally get in there half the information is incorrect anyway!

Someone at LP needs to pull their finger out of their nose and either fix the stupid thing or they need to trash Cpanel all together.

But I feel confident neither one of those options is going to happen any time soon, not that it matters, I've already started looking for another host anyway.

Geez, that must be frustrating.

I've been using this bookmark:

https://mydomain.com:2083/frontend/x/index.html

to get into my cPanel. Never had a problem. (I'm using IE.) I get the cert prompt, then the username/password prompt. (I'm sure there is a way to stop getting the cert prompt, but I haven't bothered to figure it out yet.)

May I suggest that you open a ticket and request that you be moved to another server? It's worth a shot...  Confused

Regards,
...jim
