I was wondering if the "cache" file can be deleted from the tmp folder. I know it is used for generating the statistics, but after a year now, the file is up to 40 MB in size.  For a text file, that's rather huge.

If I was to delete this file, would it auto-recreate, starting from scratch again?  Or could I delete the information in the file and save it as an empty file?

There is text at the top of this file that says not to alter or delete it, but I really have no need for 40MB of stats dating back a year, when I also have the individual, monthly stats file that I can reference.

Thank you for any assistance on this issue.

If you have shell access to your account you can delete them by simply running

echo > filename.log

If not, Remove and replace Smile
