I just got done reading through all the descriptions of all the software that is available through fantastico.  I have to say that I have not been with lunarpages that long, but to see a upgrade like this is simply amazing.
 Thumbs Up
These open source projects seem to be spewing out usable products faster than anyone can make a bb support forum for them.

I know that this will mean new business for LP because of how easy it is to now make a decent looking website or blog.  I think that for me reselling will also be easier because I know lots of people who have always wanted their own site, but have not had the technical skills necessary to do so.

I just wanted to say thanks LP, and open up a discussion about the new features.

On a personal note, does anyone have an opinion on which blog system works best?  I have been reading around the support forums for each, and it seems that they all are starting to blend together because of the mods and fixes and tricks and whatnot. . .

thanks. Applause

I agree, what a great set of scripts...

Not sure about blogs, but if you're looking for a very nice gallery system then Coppermine Photo Gallery seems to be it. Extremely easy to configure and use, and has some nice features (send photo as e-card, slideshow mode etc.).

Thank you Lunarpages!

Just keep in mind that for every script after the first you'll need to pay $1 each. Each script needs it's own database.

There has been a workaround posted for this issue.  You don't have to have a new database for each, you can combine the tables.  It isn't advisable to put too many into one database however as it will slow down the site.

I agree that Fantastico is pretty cool.

One of the features it appears to have is the ability to update scripts as new releases become available.  Is this true?

If so, can we request updates to scripts?  I notice the Nucleus 3.0 is now out, and Fantastico installs 2.0.

Is it safe to install 3.0 by myself if I've already installed 2.0 using Fantastico?
