I'll be traveling in Europe and I'd like to use some server space to temporarily store photos from my SD cards as a backup in case they are lost or stolen.
I'll probably go into an internet cafe or hotel computer with my SD card and a USB stick card reader. I want to be able to transfer multiple photos to my unlimited space via the internet.
I know I can go through cPanel X and transfer files one by one in the File Manager, but that would take hours. Is there some quick way to do this without having my own computer and my familiar ftp software?

There are options.

1. Install Filezilla FTP as a portable app on a USB stick so you can FTP from any computer with a USB port without having to install it on the computer. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/filezilla_portable . Portable apps also has GIMP Portable - Photo and Image Editor.

2. Install a gallery app such as Gallery, Coppermine, 4images, etc on your account to upload and share the files.

3. Install an upload script on the account but be very careful to secure it well and use a tough password.

Please be aware the unlimited storage is to be used for your website files and not unrelated file storage. You may want to have someone at home download and remove them if possible or use suggestion #2 above.

I don't intend to permanently store files on the site that are unrelated to my web pages. I have web galleries already on the site. However, when I'm traveling around, I doubt if I'll have the time to set up anything. I just want to be able to store them safely so that when I get home I can move, organize, and share the images in a gallery.

YouTube to the rescue. I found some tutorials on there.

I just zipped the files in sets (right-click, or in my case control-click, then compress). I uploaded the zipped files using File Manager, then unzipped them by clicking on the extract command.
