Hi all, my site is suffering to High Resource Usage and so moved to cloud server..For two months i could not do anything to overcome this problem, though..So sometimes my site is down. Yesterday, while checking my databases through phpmyadmin, it was my first attempt, i saw that in my main site's database there are both joomla's and wordpress' components..ain't this weird ? may this cause high resource usage ? i run wordpress cms for my site..do not know how those joomla fields are created in my db. should i delete them ? will i face any problem ? i also see that there are some fields of plugins that i used before but do not use anymore..may i delete them ? Please answer, i'm bored of this issue! Thanks

Hmm, very weird - I would be very careful before hacking away at the databases (and always backup!). What are you seeing in there (without giving away any private account information) that makes you think Joomla information is in there?

Well, jos_ is known to be used in WordPress as well. I think what you might be seeing is some of the importation tools from Joomla to WordPress perhaps. I would search for the exact references in Google that you find, to see what information can be found about it. Like I searched "jos_ wordpress" and found several threads covering what it might and might not be related to.

Wow, that is a lot of CPU usage, for sure. (Also, see you found me on Twitter ) Looks like the problem is with the index.php file inside of your public_html folder. Now this can often be caused by: + An out of date script, which has had it's security compromised. + Since you are using WordPress, it might be a single plugin or a series of plugins causing the issue. Also, did you receive any sudden burst of traffic coming into the site? That might cause it, such as being featured on digg.com or another social bookmark sharing site. You might look into installing a caching plugin for WordPress too, several good ones can be found here: WordPress Cache Plugins to Help PerformanceI don't think the upgrade to PHP 5 would cause it, because WordPress is not overly demanding in the case of PHP usage with PHP 4 vs PHP 5. Might still need to do some detective work to find out the cause, but that should help you get started.

Well, you will need to get back to the server admins with that request. Since these forums are not technically for server side support like this, you will need to make sure you contact them directly about the issue. Thanks!

This might save a lot of people the great number of headaches and wasted time in trying to resolve this issue and still won't bring back all the traffic I worked so hard to build. Thanks Technical support! For anyone having this issue on Lunarpages, ask the technicians to update your account to the latest php 5 and the latest zend. I've been dealing with this issue for over a month in one of my subdomains and FINALLY a :clap:friend recommended doing that update under that subdomain only and it finally brought my index.php file to acceptable levels. It's too bad the technicians didn't know this. Upon researching this issue, there seems to be a great amount of trouble with this issue on Lunarpages for those who are using Wordpress. Now maybe they will reactivate my site and maybe do something to help me to rebuild my traffic. Probably wishful thinking. If I seem a little upset, it's probably because I feel the technicians should have already known this instead of causing me so much trouble.
