Hi there,

I could really do with some help regarding my database permissions.

I can login to CPanel without any problem. However, when I log into PHPMyAdmin from there, it appears that I don't have any permissions to create new databases.

It's logging me into phpMyAdmin as myusername@localhost.com. Do I need to set up a login using that username in my CPanel and then award it full permissions? I've tried setting adding different users to the database (with full permissions), but I can't seem to login to PHPMyAdmin using any of them.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

New databases must be created in Cpanel under Mysql. They cannot be created in PHPMyAdmin.

Can you suggest how I do this then? Do I need to upload a PHP file containing MySQL script to the server?

I've tried typing the relevant SQL code into PHPMyAdmin, but it doesn't seem to be doing much unfortunately.

Thanks,

You need to create the empty MySQL Database and MySQL Database User (and assign that user to the DB) in the MySQL Databases screen (before entering phpMyAdmin). You can see the steps to do this here:
