Hello,

Another important kernel patch update has been released for CentOS. For our managed ultra and instense customers, we will begin updating the kernel for your server starting today to the newest release. Please note that a kernel upgrade does require a server reboot.

For our non-managed and managed lite customers, you may email to request we upgrade your kernel for a flat fee of $35.00. Please ensure to provide your control panel username, primary domain name and the last 4 digits of your credit card on file when requesting this feature in your ticket to dedicated@lunarpages.com

For those who prefer to perform the update themselves, you may normally do in root shell the following command:

yum upgrade

After the upgrade, you would then reboot the server using:

reboot

This will then boot to the new kernel after the server is back online after the reboot. You can always do the following command prior to the upgrade and after the upgrade to check that the kernel did update:

uname -r

If you have any questions on this, please let us know at dedicated@lunarpages.com

Thank you,
Lunarpages Systems Administrator Team

I don't know if I have a managed account or not. Someone logged in, according to my console, last night from Lunarpages. What is the current version that our servers should be returning with the uname -r command?
