If a mailbox was over quota and not getting email is the new incoming email lost forever, or will it try to deliver it at a later time?

Thanks

Hi Rlischer,

All depends on the settings used in your mail server. Some servers may queue emails to the accounts over-quota and try to send them periodically within a few days. Some generate the immediate delivery failure which means the email gets dropped and sender should receive a notification on that.

ok, thanks.  I did not change any settings when Lunarpages built the server.  I did not get any messages about a bounce.  I will just wait and see.

My idea about the mailbox quota was that the latest email will be erased when a new email would enter.
Thanks for the info btw perestreika... Yep Yep Yep Yep
