Well...  uploading my first sites to my new server.. but man things are going slow.
Uploading is taking me about 4-5 times aslong as it takes from my other server.

Is there a limit on connection speeds? This is not very good.

try doing a tracert and see where the delay is happening... there are any number of things that can impact transfer speeds between you and the server... might be good to do the tracert to both servers and see where the differences are coming in...
