website not loading properly on Macs (safari and firefox)
« on: March 26, 2010, 03:20:49 PM »
Hopefully you guys can help - I'm new to the Mac world and was thoroughly dismayed when I first pulled up my website on my Mac. My menu bar is skewed left and isn't fixed in the table. My website appears and functions perfectly fine on windows internet explorer.

Here is the link:

If there is anyone that can tell me how I can fix it - I would be forever grateful!!!

Have you checked your Mac PC resolution please check in different Browser like Safari & Firefox in your Mac. If you get same issues in both browser then check your CSS files.

The original site design was probably tuned for some specific version of IE, taking advantage of that browser's quirks and errors. That's not a good way to make a web page. Try not to use tools which are highly tuned to a specific browser, but that generate good generic HTML and CSS. At the very least, try the completed page on a number of different browsers to see if it looks and acts reasonably well on a range of browsers. You may need to do some manual tweaking of HTML and CSS to get it to work well everywhere.
