I created a database using the mysql myphpadmin avail through our hosting package on cPanel and now I cannot connect to it through dreamweaver. The error reads:

HTTP Error Code 404 File Not Found. Here are some possible reasons for the problem:

1) There is no testing server running on the server machiine.
2)The testing server specified for this site does not map to the http://russellstegeman.com/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL. Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site.

I am mapping the prefix as: http://russellstegeman.com (including taking the http:// out of the testing server url prefix)

The host site: ftp.russellstegeman.com also tried all other accessible versions of this.

When I try to connect via MySql connection in dreamweaver I enter the following:

MySQL server:localhost (have also tried various versions including http:// and russellstegeman.com versions.
Username:cPanel account login name
Password:cPanel account password

Whether I attempt to select a database or put the database name in myself (russe8_FotF) I get the same error.

I have searched far and wide on the internet and none of the solutions presented so far are working.

Please advise.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  I will leave this ticket open, just in case there is somebody else here on the forums that can help you out.  I have also asked for our support team to review the parts that I had to edit out due to privacy concerns.  (there was a lot of personal account information in there, that you don't want to share with the rest of the general public here on the forums)  Thumbs Up
