When I try to connect to the database, I get an error: 1044 denied for user:
I put in localhost for mySQLserver
username: myaccountname_username
password: my password
database:myaccountname_databasename
hit test and I get that error.

Have done this before for other sites on lunarpages with no trouble.

Hi Deltacomics,

Did you log into Cpanel, click on MySQL databases and create the database, the user, add the user to the database?

Next, are you connecting via a script or via a remote MySQL client (not sure what for mySQLserver means in your values given above).  If you are connecting remotely, you need to add % or your system IP to the access hosts area in MySQL databases (toward the bottom) and change from localhost to domain.com or server.lunarpages.com and replace domain.com with your domain or server.lunarpages.com with your server.

Thanks.

Yes I did all thoughs things, still can not get to the database through Dreamweaver.
I double, triple and many times more checked that the user name and database are correct.
Dreamweaver asks for setting up a connection for Connection Name, then MySQL server, which I put localhost, then user name, then password, then database.
I answer all thoughs questions correctly an I was getting the error above, now I am getting "an unidentified error has occured" I tried using server.lunarpages.com for MySQL server same problem and using domain name same problem. Hope someone can answer this problem.

Hi Deltacomics,

Please try following this how-to from TWebMan on setting up a connection via Dreamweaver for MySQL:

http://twebman.lunarpages.com/mm/dw/remotemysql/

Please note that when you setup the test server, you need to remove public_html/ at the end of the url (not for the remote site itself but for the test server) for MySQL.

Thanks.

You're welcome, and I'm glad it is working now  Applause
