ok i'm getting a little peed off at dreamweaver.  i renamed some files so they weren't so long.  so i updated all the links sitewide, but the old link is what comes up when i test it out in internet explorer.

for example, i had a file named "Cool Links" & i renamed it to be "links".  i went to the editor place where you make the links &  i made sure that when you hit the button it goes to "links"  i PUT the site up, but when i hit the button in internet explorer it goes to "Cool Links" & I end up with a page not found error.

i don't know how to fix this as everything seems right in the dreamweaver links.

anyone have any ideas?

Your index file was not correctly uploaded, or altered.

I've found that when you change the link text field you should hit 'enter' - this seems to 'save' the link. Maybe you're finding that too.

wow, that is SO weird.  i did what you said, and just hit ENTER and it seemed to solve the problem.  even though the correct link was already in there...ENTER is the magic key i guess!

thanks!

yeah, it's an undocumented bug as far as i'm concerned... pretty annoying that you have to hit enter only on that field.

glad that helped
