I was working on one of my sites and got an error message.  I had been uploading files for an hour and then suddendenly I got the following error message:

An FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host.
Your login or password is incorrect.  Please check your connection information.

I tried the following:
  • rebooting
clicking the "Duplicate" button in "Manage Sites" and trying the duplicated site
clicking the "New" button hand typing the information as a new site

Nothing worked.  However, I was able to:

  • Use cpanel with the same password nd user name
Upload files on other sites using Dreamweaver.

Anybody experienced this and figured it out?

My site was recently moved to another server, but that was on Monday.  I've definitely worked on the site since.  I had to update some of my PHP so that it works with the newer version of PHP that is on the new server.

Might test and see if you get the same problem using a regular FTP client, like Filezilla, as an example.

I posted this on the wrong part of the forum.

This isn't a Dreamweaver issue. I just discovered that I'm having the same problem with Blogger.  My blog is sent via FTP to my server.  It has to be something on the server for the one website since Dreamweaver can FTP to my other 9 sites and Blogger, which I haven't touched in a couple of days, can't use FTP to update that site.  I submitted a ticket last night.  Hopefully LunarPages will fix this soon.
