http://www.kypsah.com/nma.htm This page was recently created for a client but the images aren't showing up. I have the images in an "images" folder on my drive but when I uploaded them, they are not showing up. Does anyone know why? I only use the "images" folder to house the images for my clients' pages, not the images that are static, as far as the rest of the site is concerned. Is this something maybe I should change and if so, why and how? Thanks! [/url]

You're kidding, Pete! I don't see them at all when I view the page on my browser. I see them when I test view the page in Dreamweaver but that's it. That's weird...Maybe I should check my browser image settings I guess.
Thanks so much for checking for me!

Did you scroll down below the table of information (using the arrows on the right-side) where you could see images of black labs?

It looks like the images have been found. However, I have found something you might want to address. If the browser window isn't wide enough, and it wasn't like I had it that narrow, the table that starts with "Overnight Boarding For Guinness and Danny" blocks out the image on the right.

I checked the site using resolution 800 X 600, and the images overlap. When I checked the site using resolution 1024 X 768 everything looked fine at least in my browser. I guess I should put this on the client pages (best viewed at...). I'm still not seeing the images of the labs though below the table. It's weird. Everyone else is seeing them but me It must be my settings. I'll have to look deeper and see if I can find the problem as to why I can't see the labs (below the table) but everyone else can. Thanks, TranzNDance!

Thanks so much for checking for me! Nope sorry I didnt even realise there was a scroller The Images at the bottom of your scroller window are being called from http://www.kypsah.com/images/ folder and thats empty. hence.. no images. If you click http://www.kypsah.com/nma1.jpg the images are there. so are 2,3,4,5 and 6 So, either move those images ( easiest just using 'move' from file manager in your control panel) into images folder. Or alter your code for the page to point to http://www.kypsah.com/ instead of http://www.kypsah.com/images

I checked my browser settings and everything looks pretty good. This is what the path to the pictures is... <img src="../images/nma1.jpg" width="100" height="75"> Does this look correct? I let Dream insert the images, so I haven't altered the code. While in Dreamweaver, I'm still able to test-view the page and all of the images show up. Once I uploaded the page and images, however, they are not showing up in the browser (only when I test-view the site in Dreamweaver). I had this problem before years back but can't remember how it was rectified. I think it has to do with the pathway coding regarding the img src tag but I'm not quite certain. Maybe I should put the entire path in the img src tag, i.e., <img src="C:/My Documents...."

Hmmm...the images are there though after I uploaded them. I created a folder called "images" on the server and placed all of the images in this folder. I'll go back and re-check to make sure they are there. Thanks, Pete

Thanks, TranzNDance! You're welcome. Right now, I'm using 1024 X 768 resolution. However, in order to avoid the overlap, I'd have to view the browser in maximized size. I have too much going on to have my browser windows in maximized mode on top of everything. Also, the window would look too wide, and things just don't look good when text stretches out that much. It would be nice to design in a smaller resolution so that people with smaller resolutions can view them, and people with higher resolutions can reserve their screen for their other windows. Also, the reason why I (and probably Pete) missed the images is probably because we couldn't see the scrollbar. You should color the section between the arrows so it's more noticeable.

kypsah, I had an issue I think similar to this. I have layers (some that change on rollover) in some pages at www.macrogolf.com. I basically had to fix all the table width values instead of making any of them percentages so that things would remain lined up. There are still some algnment issues in some browsers though-workin on that one .

Thanks, Pete Thanks, TranzNDance I had designed the pages to be 700 X 500 but however it happened, it ended up being only viewable with a higher resolution (1024 X 768). I also understand the need of being able to view the site without the screen maximized but don't know how to edit the site to accommodate this I'll also try and get the area vertical between the areas a different color. There isn't a bar there, just images though so I'll have to figure this out Thanks, TWebMan! I'll have to figure this one out as well

I thought the arrows were part of a regular scroll bar, but now I see that the arrows are two separate entities. I did notice that they didn't function like regular scroll bar arrows, but it didn't register.

I'm sorry. In my efforts to make a more efficient site for myself as well as my clients, I've found that I've also created some confusion. I just put a "site tip" on the index page to make viewers aware of what the arrows are for and what they do. Anyway, it's not you, it's the site. I think I'll create a Flash tip that runs across the page (being dragged by a dog) stating how to use the site but I just don't have time. It's on the back burner right now
