Do you remember where or who told you this?
Sales told me about the non-compatibility of Dreamweaver, and Support told me about the use of c-Panel and their unwillingness to help me with my MAMP-Pro configuration.
We have many successful web sites hosted here that people have designed in Dreamweaver.
You have made me feel good about the advice that I received from the Adobe Dreamweaver Forum.
When your files are uploaded (no matter which program you use to do so) you need to make sure they are uploaded to the public_html folder. I'm not really familiar with how FETCH handles file uploads, but if it uses the same controls as your standard FTP program, that shouldn't be a problem.
This much i knew. What I need to know are the limitations that Lunarpages places on Dreamweaver. Have you ever managed a website created by Dreamweaver that uses Lunarpages as its remote server? There are a fairly large number of protocol options, and the ones that I have selected are apparently the wrong ones. As the combinatorial permutations are quite numerous, I would hate to feel obligated to experiment with the entire gamut, when someone already knows what works and what does not.
On the MAMP-Pro issues, Lunarpages can provide you a way to find the information that MAMP-Pro requires (such as "how do I create a database") however, we can not support every third party application out there, if you are unsure on how to make it work. You should go to the creator of the program to get support for the program itself.
I provided Lunarpages with an image of the MAMP-Pro panel with which I was having trouble. I showed them the exact information that I needed and what I was able to find in the Lunarpages knowledge base. It was simply a matter of matching labels with information and providing any additional information that did not appear in the knowledge base.
Please feel free to share any more details here, or any questions you might have and we'd be more than happy to help.
You appear to be the Lunarpages cheerleader.
Thank you for responding.
