Any person familiar with new Dreamweaver that is coming out soon? I saw it on Adobe website. Still trying to figure out if I should move from FR 2003 to Web expressions or change over to Dreamweaver. Find FP extensions a pain.

You won't be sorry for switching to Dreamweaver. The learning curve is a bit steep, but worth it. Much of what you know from Front Page will help with that learning. Some of the learning is just finding new ways to do things you are familiar with.

Hey Paisley, like Fretnmore, Id recommend Dreamweaver over Frontpage. Ive played around with FP and have Dreamweaver MX & Dreamweaver 8, and although the new Web Expressions will not utilize any extensions like Frontpage (from what Ive read), I always find Dreamweaver ahead of the game. Its also fairly user-friendly.

Dreamweaver is better then frontpage any day.  The best thing, is no frontpage extensions to deal with.

Especially with microsoft switching things around, I forsee a lot of problems soon.

I have found dreamweaver MX the best.

Dreamweaver MX and ultradev were brilliant.  I've just got CS3 and I prefer the older versions, it can be tedious to format tables and such in CS3 at times I find.

Hi Davion: I haven't had any problems with formatting tables in CS3... What kind are you having?

Paisley: I have compared DW CS3 and Microsoft Web Expressions.  I think Expression Web is a big improvement over Frontpage (especially the CSS Support) but there are just several areas that kept me from choosing it: 1. There is no syntax support for PHP. 2. There are simple things missing: like support for imbedding Flash files (I've heard php and flash support are going to be added though). 3. I was never able to get the FTP to work properly.   There also are not very many extensions yet for Expression Web....
