Hi, I created a site www.redraptors.com and when I visit the site to test everything the buttons disappear when clicked on. I created the rollovers in Photoshop and optimized them into Dreamweaver. Has anyone ever encountered this problem or did I do something wrong? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I can see the buttons after being clicked on and the roll-overs seem to be working. I tested in FireFox and IE 6.0. The roll-overs take a little longer after being clicked on the second go-around, but when you move it off the image, then back on, it works. P.S. Site lookes GOOD! Love that Raptor image! On this page: http://www.redraptors.com/tournament.htmlYou might want to create a slight spacing so that the text doesn't butt the left frame.

Thats funny because I just tested it and the rollovers didn't work at all. It is a terribly slow load time too. When one button was clicked on, most of the other buttons disappeared. Problems, problems

Yeah there I haven't uploaded the correct page yet. It's not finished--I got so distracted with the buttons not working properly that I stopped. Love that Raptor image!
Thanks I created it myself.

Hi Lona. Glad to see you finally got the new site up and running What happened to your flash screen THAT was cool Only other thing I've noticed is you have an extra © at the top left of the team gallery page As for the buttons..... They all work fine for me.!! I dont loose any. and everything loads straight up in no time at all n.b. Im on adsl and frontpage tells me that loading your home page from scratch will take just under one minute on a dial up connection

Hi What happened to your flash screen THAT was cool I got rid of it. I couldn't fix the problem of it pointing to the old server that the site was on originally. It wasn't allowing me to make changes. I had that set up as the index.html and the home.html page is the welcome page. Now the welcome page is the index.html and everything works--except for the flash page. Any suggestions as to why it worked like that? Yes, unfortunately, I am still on dial up. So that could be the problem?

I'm not sure what Pete meant by "just under one minute"... if it's closer to a minute, that is. If it is, that's quite a while for a page to load.

Your rollovers are most likely to rely on JavaScript to get them to one, and my money says that you have it disabled in your browser. Check in your security settings.

Yeah leave it to Hush to come up with a complicated, sensible sounding solution when everyone else is just blaming loading times...

If Javascript were disabled, nothing would have happened. That is, a disappearing rollover is still some sort of activity. If javascript is disabled or the script not properly defined, rolling over the image would have no effect; it would be like hovering across any other image. At least that's been my experience... so I wouldn't have thought a disappearing rollover would have to do with the ineffacacy of js.

Also, you may need to flush your dns whenever you make changes to an .swf file. I've spent hours trying to figure out why a client was seeing a site differently than from me and he had user complaints. It turned out the user complaint came from a friend who had been following the site's development as well and also had the old files in cache. Refresh just doesn't do it. In IE its tools-internet options-delete files-check the offline content box-ok

Nevermind, I was confused with the all the talk of the flash. There's no .swf there to worry about .
