My base domain is:  www.fantasy-photo.com
I want a subdomain of:  www.fremont.fantasy-photo.com

I requested the "fremont" subdomain from Lunarpages using cpanel.  I used Dreamweaver to create the separate stand-alone Fremont subdomain.  I then tried to upload that code using Dreamweaver but Dreamweaver ran for hours, never managed to load all of the files, and the upload was a failure.  I'm very new at this but I suspect I haven't set up Dreamweaver's Setup window correctly.  Here's how I filled in Dreamweaver's Site Setup window:

Server Name:  Fremont
Connect Using:  FTP
FTP Address:  fremont.fantasy-photo.com
User Name:  fanphoto
Password:  pw123_not_real
Root Directory:  public_html/fremont
Web URL:  http://www.fremont.fantasy-photo.com/

If it's of any importance, during my request for the new subdomain using cpanel, I saw this statement:  "If you want to grant virtual ftp access to this subdomain, just create an FTP user with the same username as the subdomain base name that is listed inside the () above."  Inside the parenthesis was "public_html/fremont."

I just realized that I'd turned on Hot Link Protection some time ago and, at that time, I added the base domain as an exception to the rule so that it could access my own images.  When I set up the subdomain, I forgot to add the subdomain URL to the exceptions list and, as a result, the subdomain was not allowed access to any of the images.
