Hi,

Hoping someone can help me. I am trying to get OS commerce to work on my site. I am a noob and purchased a template thru flash as recomended by lunar pages. I can get the basic OScommerce site working, but when I go to log into my admin folder, I keep getting the "Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory." message. I will attach my htaccess file and my PHP.ini, but I think they are both OK. If someone can have a look, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks
Bob

You need "suPHP_ConfigPath /home/username/public_html" (your cpanel username) added to .htaccess to make your subfolders inherit the php.ini settings. Enter it at the top without the quotes.

awesome, thanks. Now the site is up and running.

Another problem, My admin panel is not password protected. When I type in www.mysite.com/admin, the admin panel pops up without prompting for a password or anything. This is a huge security proble. Is their a way to fix this?

Thanks again!
Bob
