Hi all,

Do you have any good suggestion to beat the online fraud?

We are a software company. Once the buyer purchase the license key online, our system will send the key to the buyer's email account automatically. It worked well before. However, we see the fraud rate go higher recently.

It is not a good feeling to handle the chargeback cases. Do you have any good suggestions?

About the only thing you could probably do is have the software "call home" to check if its key is valid or not, and if the system detects a single key being used by multiple people you could have it send a remote kill command for the software.

This is how adobe does their CS5 software.

This also allows you to deactivate any keys if someone does a chargeback.

There are ways around this, but your average user doesn't know how.

The speed of money transfer is very fast now days but there are many risks of online fraud. So to protect yourself over internet you have to protect your computer with anti virus software. Also avoid the use of Wi-Fi for internet and protect your LAN with strong password. Also be safe when you shopped online. Use familiar sites for online shopping. Use credit card in place of debit card. Also be careful when you want to use online social networking sites. Always secret your personal information and do not shop online in front of people.
