Okay, I've never done this and am wanting to do this for a site I am going to build.  I already have two lunarpages accounts.  I want to create an e-commerce site, selling products from my site and adding a shopping cart.  I've skimmed over the tutorials on adding a shopping cart, but didn't see anything about how the payment is actually transferred.  Does the shopping cart work with a site like paypal or verisign, etc, or does it work directly with a bank of your choice?  Or something else I've missed?

Thanks in advance.

If you go with osCommerce, it will have different payment options that you can set up through the admin panel. Since the software is open source there are also tons of free add-ons that people have created for the cart. You simply add a little bit of code to add different payment options if they are not available by default through the admin. If you want to go with something besides Paypal, most companies charge a monthly fee to use their payment processing service. It's not difficult setting it up through the cart.

Most of the e-commerce site are definitely using Pay Pal. The fact that it is reliable and secured in terms of payment. I am also using this site for my e-commerce site for payment.
