Yeah same issue here. Checking 3 email accounts, and checking via Mac, iPhone & iPad. See the connection errors mostly on the iPhone & iPad.

 I am not aware of any changes to rectify this situation.  As my subscription has now expired, I don't think I'll hear any more on this subject other than through this forum.  I presume you opened a ticket with support?
