I can log into my webmail, and send emails to anyone from there, but when i try to send my account email from anything else (yahoo, hotmail, other personal emails) It wont recieve my email.  I get an error.  Anyone know what might be causing it to send, but not recieve.  Like I said, this is webmail, so it's not an Outlook setting.  Thanks for any info!

You may want to get in touch with support@lunarpages.com and let them know.

Are you using your server name as your address? If thats not working, you may have to use your ISP's SMTP server (they may be blocking outgoign emails through any server other than their own.

If I read his original post correctly, it's not a problem with his ISP because his mail is being rejected from any mail service (Yahoo, etc.). The phrase "User unknown" in the error message is curious.

Kata,  I have been in contact with support for almost 2 weeks, and they still haven't fixed it.  It's really starting to become a problem.  Since they weren't good enough to figure it out, I was hoping some one here was.  That's why I'm here!  Smile

Does mail to your "root" account go through? (Not sure of the terminology here, but it would be the account that LP gave you when you signed up - something like northtec2.)

yes, my main account works just fine, both sending and receiving.  I have tested it a few times.

You could try deleting the cameron@northtechconsulting.com account and then recreate it. Of course, you wouldn't want to do that if you have mail stored on the LP server because it would be destroyed.

Did your ticket get closed? If not - then they are goign to be working on it.

Have you tried creating a new account say "test@northtechconsulting.com" and sending/receiving through that?

If you would like me to test for you (I'm not a staff member so theres a little bit of trust invovled Smile) You can PM me a user/pass for the test account if its getting the error and I"ll try it through a few different email clients.

I created a 'test' account, and tried sending to it.  Here is the message I got from yahoo.  I got the exact message when I sent it from an outlook account too, except for its a different ISP.  It is obvious, this is not an ISP or configuration problem with my account.  Here is the error messages with the headers.

could you try sending a test message to me? ed AT jokeawhenever.com

I want to take a close look at the headers of the message - there was something similar to this a while ago and it was a configu problem in the email program.

Send teh test mseeage from where?  I can SEND from any account without a problem, but I cannot RECEIVE with any of them.  You want me to send you something from one of the accounts that isn't working?  The ony account that works for me is my main camina2 account that LP created for me.

Like I said before, it can't be a configuration problem in the email program, because I'm getting it no matter where I send an email from.  If i send from yahoo, it gets bounced.  If i send it from hotmail, it gets bounced.  If I send from my home pc and home ISP, it gets bounced.  If I send it from work from our webmail server, it gets bounced.  I think that makes it evident that it isn't something to do with the email program.  At least that is what I would guess.

Maybe it's a languishing issue with your domain transfer?

A check of URL http://www.whois.sc/northtechconsulting.com seams to indicate that the domain is hosted on servers with the other hosting company instead of Lunarpages?

Or I am simply misinterpreting... certainly a possibility!!

Your site resume indicates you are/were a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) -- resolving this should be child's play for you, right? Confused
