I have a filter set in the control panel to filter the subject "men." However a subject of "announcement" also gets filtered. Tested it using the filter test and get the following:

....................................................
**** debug string too long - truncated ****

The Filter has matched the following condition:
$header_subject: contains men

Return-path copied from sender
Sender      = southw3@andromeda.lunarpages.com
Recipient   = southw3@andromeda.lunarpages.com
Testing Exim filter file "/etc/vfilters/southwestwoodcrafts.com"

Save message to: /dev/null 0660
Filtering set up at least one significant delivery or other action.
No other deliveries will occur.

The email filter should not be doing this??

The contains filter looks for character strings, not words. So AnnounceMENt will be filtered. You would need to use a regular expression (a complex task) rather than just the contains filter.

Thanks. I wasn't aware that it worked that way and have gone in and deleted a bunch of filters. Now I'll get more spam, but not miss anything Sad
