Does Lunarpages offer a strictly certificate-based SMTP server?
Here's why: our e-mail, sent from OMICRON.LUNARPAGES.COM is being blocked by CSI.EDU because some other user on OMICRON,
who is probably running a viral XP system, has been identified as a spammer, thus all mail from OMICRON has been blocked.
<omitted>*@csi.edu
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host guppy.csi.edu [198.60.233.24]: 554 Service unavailable; Client host [omicron.lunarpages.com]
blocked using Barracuda Reputation; http://bbl.barracudacentral.com/q.cgi?ip=208.39.255.25
I realise that it isn't Lunarpages' responsibility to enforce individual system security and that this can happen from any web-host; however, this is not the first time this has happened and it is inhibiting our ability to operate business normally.
I'd like to stay with Lunarpages, but need a way to ensure that our e-mail won't be blocked by universities and major providers because some other user on a server has a compromised system.
Can Lunarpages offer an SMTP service that is less likely to be compromised as a spam source?
