Hello,

I am new to the forum and my apologies if this question has already been asked. Is it possible to forward email (i.e., email to "info@mydomain.com", for example) to more than one email account? I'd like emails to come to both me and my client while the website is still "under construction".

Thank you!

P.S. Also, is there a way to hide the animated icons on the "new topic" page?

I found the answer to my question in the Email database:

<excerpt>Input the e-mail address (or if you want to forward to multiple e-mail addresses, be sure to separate them with a comma) you wish to forward e-mail from that address to, and then hit the, "Submit" button.
<end of excerpt>

However, I would still like to know how to turn off the animated icons.

Thanks!

animated icons ?

Are you referring to receiving animated icons in your email?

If so, not sure how exactly this would be done, other then to setup to not download email in html but this would vary with your email client.

No, he said it was for "New Topic", which means posting to this forum (nothing to do with email). These are the "smilies" right above the text box. Maybe changing the theme used would do it, but otherwise it's up to whoever configures the SMF. Yes, they're annoying and juvenile, but I don't see any way for a user to shut them off in their profile.

Yes, MrPhil is correct. I was wondering if there was any way to turn off the animated icons on the posting page. I have some vision sensitivities and quickly get nauseated/dizzy when hit with a barrage of animation like this.

If it's not possible I'll just have to try not to post too often.

Thanks anyway.

Maybe not ideal but if you're using Firefox you could install this add-on which adds a toolbar button to toggle images on/off.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/232/
You can set the options to automatically refresh the page on toggle. Of course you lose all images, not just the freaky smileys,  but you can easily turn them back on again afterwards.

I agree, this is a professional business site, those annoying smilies should be hidden. It makes the site look childish. Maybe a link to them for people who want to use them or only display half a dozen.

I scroll the page up until that garbage is up off the screen.  It's not only childish but it's extremely distracting.  I can't type with that stuff flashing and rolling around.  LP really should get rid of it.
BUT:
The whole UI of the (v.11) CP is keyed to a kindergarten audience.  Those graphics tiles on the CP home page are ridiculous.  This should be geared to IT professionals, and a table structure would be much easier to deal with than the graphics tiles.  Yes there is a "lite graphics |  hide icons"  at the bottom, but you still get the "tiled" layout rather than a list of line items.
