I'm not sure what you mean by "alias". If you're looking to have email sent to a different address end up in the same "in box" as your other account, one way to do that would be to set up the second account and forward it to the first account. If you don't create a mailbox for the second account, it shouldn't keep any copy of the mail it receives. I guess that would be the easiest thing to do all by yourself, without LP's involvement... there certainly may be other ways to handle it.

To create an Email alias with cpanel you need to follow the steps which are given bellow:

1. Open your URL in the browser and do the log in with the root@domain name.com with the password provided you in the Email.
2. After that choose the Domain Settings menu and choose Email Alias from the menu.
3. Then enter the name for alias and email address.
4. After entering the details you need to click on the save button.

You can setup forwards without having email accounts, if that's what you're on the lookout for. If you create an account AND forward it, the email will stay put in the account until you empty it.

If you create a forward but not an account, it will only forward to the specified account, where ever it resides.
