I am getting a ton of spam email lately. I heard about mailroute.net and was thinking of trying them out. Is there an alternative that lunarpages offers?  If not is it easy (possible)  to change the MX record so they can filter the email and send me the good stuff?  Thanks in advance.

Open a support ticket, I had my MX records changed likety split.
I would prefer to be able to do it myself, and I can on my self managed domains with my registrar, but unfortunately we cannot do it in the Lunar control panel.

I'm sure Mailroute is good and all, but their pricing is pretty high from what I saw.

Why not use Gmail, Windows Live Mail or Yahoo mail for your domain?  They all have decent Spam filtering and a familiar interface.

And if you change the MX records like MNM suggested you can still use "you@yourdomain.com" but have the Gmail, Livemail, or Yahoo email interface.

Cool stuff.

Just did mine a few weeks ago and love it.  And it's faster than having it on LP anyway.

You do not specify what plan you are on, however have you enabled spam filtering in your control panel?
