Since I don't use a lot of bandwidth, I downgraded to the Starter plan and cut my costs in half.

BUT, I can't get Outlook to access my Email.

Now I'm on the GALBA server  and the ns1.lunariffic.com name servers. Don't know if that makes a difference

I tried my old Email settings, but they don't work.
I setup the new Email accounts in LPCP using the same names, domain, and passwords.

I then deleted the old accounts in Outlook and recreated new ones, using the same names and POP3/SMTP info.
Still no Email.

Used mail.mydomain.com for both servers
Used Port 110 for POP3 and 587 for SMTP
Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is NOT checked
Checked SMTP Server requires authentication
No SSL checked

Using the Outlook messages is appears I'm logging into the SMTP server, but not the POP3 server

Task 'Gene @ All Star - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I had read an older post that said to use the + instead of the @ in the Username field but that didn't help

Any unique settings anyone is aware of for the Starter plan?

Maybe a silly question but have you tried port 25 or 465 rather than 587 for SMTP

Yes, it's  Gene. Do I know you or owe you money?   Very Happy

I just tried those port numbers and it makes no difference.

When I changed plans I was moved to a new server (GALBA) and new Nameservers-Lunariffic. I suspect maybe there's a difference in configuring Outlook between the "Old plan" and the "New plan".

Some Google research mentioned MX records being incorrect, but I don't know enough about them to use that as a troubleshooting aid. I did notice that the "Old" plan is still active with an add-on domain. That's why I still wonder about the MX records.

Support was told about this and they blew it off saying it doesn't matter. I don't know, maybe it doesn't. The last two support responses were from two different people and both told me to do the obvious, the things I mentioned in the first post. None of the settings has made a difference.

First of all, I don't see why the old Outlook accounts didn't work. In LPCP I recreated them exactly as they were in the old plan. Same Usernames and same Passwords. I tried the old setting hoping they would work. Fooey! No luck. Oh well.

I deleted the accounts in Outlook and recreated them, using the same settings since the Usernames and Passwords were the same. Still using mail.mydomain.com in both POP3 and SMTP.

Still looking for options!

Thanks for the response,
Gene
