I am not receiving the emails that one of my friends is sending me. It really doesn't make sense. I use the Horde interface, though I should hope that wouldn't be the problem. She's tried typing in my email address, copy and pasting, replying-to, etc. Is there anyway that I'm blocking her? I still receive emails from other people, just not her.

It could be a problem on her side.

If you are recieving e-mails from everyone else, that could be it.

You could ask your friend if she is getting a bounced message back.

I don't think she receives any mailer-damon, etc, when she writes me, but I'll ask to be sure. Any ideas for what we can do on her end? Es ist sooo komisch.  Crying or Very sad

Is Spam assasin enabled? If shes using some weird encoding etc, it might be picking it up because of that.

Turns out she was getting a message back:

She's using outlook. How can I control the spam assassin?

If she goes into the account setup in outlook get her to check the enable SMTP authentication checkbox and she should be fine.

Spam assasin can be controlled via: Cpanel->Mail

Do you know specifically where the SMTP option is, she's using a German version so when I browsed around for it, I couldn't find it.

Hi drakeums,

In any version, it should be when you go to the email configuration area for an account.  There is a screen where you enter the email address, pop3 and smtp servers, username and password.  At the bottom right, there is a button called "more options..." or something like that.  Click the button, and there will be a dialogue box with several tabs.  Click on the 2nd or 3rd tab for outgoing server.  On this tab at the top, there will be a box to check that would say in the English version "my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"

I hope this helps.
