I've read other threads about this subject & I have done what they've suggested, but nothing has worked...

I used the autoconfiguration to configure my email account to Outlook Express. It recieves mail fine, but it won't send mail. I get the following error:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'admin@sickcycle.net', Server: 'mail.sickcycle.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Anyone know any solutions?

Hi - check out the Microsoft KnowledgeBase, Article: 191687 (click the link below).  Follow the instructions, and that should sort you out.  I'd type them here, but there's not much point recreating the wheel  Thumbs Up

Hey thanks! But I'm not exactly a computer genius, so I don't understand the instructions given on that page. lol

Okay, do you run any firewall or internet security software (such as Norton Personal Firewall or Internet Security, BlackIce Defender, etc) - anything that was referred to as a firewall?

Is this a single computer, or is it on a company network?

I only run Norton AntiVirus, nothing to do with firewalls. I am running it off of my personal computer, not networking.
