My sites SMF forum is currently using my private email address. I want to switch this to my sites email address which I set up specifically for my forum. The last time I tried I dropped my forum off line with contrary addresses from the SMF forum to my php site. My current email address is something like: my privatesite@ me. This is also listed on my php here. I want to switch both to: Who, Me? @ my site.com. How do I coordinate that change and what order do I do it in. From Cpanel to the SMF forum. A bit confusticated about this. there has to be an order and procedure that I am unaware of. crotographer

What happens if you edit Settings.php and change
Code:
$webmaster_email = 'my privatesite@me';
to
Code:
$webmaster_email = 'Who, Me? @ mysite.com';
?

I think that's the only email address that SMF stores for you. Just make sure it's tested and working. Your earlier problems might have come if you didn't have email configured correctly (to use SMTP or PHP, depending on your server). More mail configuration information is at http://www.simplemachines.org/community/.
