Hi I've raised a ticket a few hours ago [SPL-61687] and haven't got a reply yet - my addon domain can't receive email and I need it fixed extremely urgently!
Could anybody from lunarpages reading this please have a look at it?
Ian

..and I should have checked the time in LA, as I just missed the close of office time by 15 minutes... If anyone who reads this can help, please do!!!!! Who knows what email I'm missing, it is just vanashing into hyperspace, the sender doesn't even get a bounce mesage back saying it wasn't delivered, so they don't know I didn't get it!!!

E-mail support is open 24/7. I'm not LunarPages staff, and I don't know what's wrong, but rest assured that they will answer your ticket, and probably very soon.
The office hours are just for sales.

Hope so, I raised it via email a few hours ago, and I'd normally hear back from someone in that timeframe.., which is why I thought I'd try the forums and phone Thanks for your positive vibes Ian

That is odd that it has tacken so long.
Anyway, in cpanel does it know you have an addon domain. It may have gotton lost (i don't know how but it may have)
Look to see if you have any addon domain credits.

nah - the addon is fine otherwise, pages all there, email address listed in cpanel, you can access the email through both the web interface and eudora + pop3, it will also send email OK, it just won't receive anything sent to it!!!!
And as I said above, it doesn't bounce either, so I've probably got people emailing me right now who are going to get very annoyed that I don't respond, not knowing that I didn't get it in the first place...

I just got a response, and the email had been 'fixed'. Now the previous problem is back, ie if you type in www.addon.com\subdir the url changes to addon.primary.com\subdir\ ie the user finds out the primary domain name!!! Almost three weeks, and I still haven't managed to get an an addon working 100% at lunarpages, which is a pity given how well a primary account works!!! I strongly advise people not to do anything important or time critical with an addon, it just isn't worth the frustration.

Hey Ian,
Just a tip/word of advice - everytime you respond to a support ticket, it gets a new date on the ticket, and since they respond to the oldest tickets first, you basically set your ticket back to the beginning of the que. I took a browse throgh the ticket, and there was several times that may have slowed things down... just in case your wondering why it take a while for them to respond.

hmm, but you have to respond or it won't move futher forward! But I get what you mean, if I've posted something onto it, don't post anything else until they have responded.. It does sound a bit silly to reset the date to the latest, it needs to stay to when it was raised...
I haven't put up where we are up to know, but Steven did get involved and fixed it in I suspect a few seconds. I'm still thinking of upgrading it to a full account so I don't have to do all this again sometime in the future....
Thanks
- ian

Ian - also, you should take those tickets off the forum, because it's got your username and password indicated, thus not good security wise.

Okay, Ian - I don't know if by the time I am posting this, things have gotten resolved for you, but I tested out your various URLs that you mentioned in your support ticket info, and here's my results (all were same results with or without trailing frontslash): 1) http://r34skyline.com/pics = your "Index of/pics" and resolves to correct URL (NOT the primary) 2) http://r34sky.yarra.net = page with "Welcome to our new skyline site ..." 3) http://r34skyline.com = same as #2 4) http://www.r34skyline.com/raceday = same as #2 5) http://www.r34skyline.com/not_there.html = "Page Not Found" with "r34skyline.com" domain name indicated (NOT the primary) Okay, I think I got all the URLs that you mentioned in the tickets. Looks like they are now resolving as should be.

I've been out for the last 6 hours so couldn't put a post up to say FIXED. Thanks for taken the time to test things.. (Did you like the raceday pics? I did a few of them, but all together the collection was about 1000 photos in over a couple of days. If you like I'll set you up to access a few more...) It's the politics page that is going to be a big hit in about 48 hours... And thanks to anyone who read this who didn't run off and use my unintentional public password... Ian

You may want to change it, just for securities sake!
