I just got a new Palm and it has this VersaMail thing on it that checks email when you hot sync.  Pretty nifty, but I can't seem to get the settings right to be able to send mail.  I can get mail fine (direct POP connection).  Does anyone know how this is supposed to be set?

This doesn't seem to work:

Outgoing Mail Server:  mydomain.com
Port: 25
My server requires authentication (ESMTP) (box checked)

I wasn't sure what else to try?  Does anyone have any pointers?  Thanks in advance!

Hi mitten,

Is it possible that your ISP on the Palm doesn't allow outgoing SMTP servers other than theirs, so they are blocking it?  You could try changing the outgoing server to your ISPs to see if that works.  Next, check to see if there is a firewall on it.  Don't know about Palms and whether they have a firewall, but anything blocking port 25 would prevent it from working.

I hope this helps.

Well, I'm not using it wirelessly, it just checks/sends mail through my home computer when I hot sync.  I have two email accounts set up in VersaMail, one for my Yahoo account - which I can both send and receive through (it's using port 25 fine), and then the one for my LunarPages mail - which I'm having trouble with the sending part.

I have my username set as me+mydomain.com - will that confuse it?  Should I set it to me@mydomain.com?  Should I change the server to aries.lunarpages.com instead of mydomain.com?
