Is there anyway to mass delete junk email?  I've been away for two weeks and now have over 6500 junk mails in my master account.   I have the highest view total to 100, but it takes forever to delete them all.  Anyone have an easier solution?

Hi thedude,

Although I am not certain how to do it in webmail (I do know how in Outlook), there is a previous post where this issue was discussed:

http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8824&highlight

The solution that the person found was a POP3 script, but the script was never noted in the thread.  I just wrote a post there to ask if the script could be posted for people to use in the future.  So, you can keep your eyes posted on that area to see if kwdavids responds to post the script or not.

I hope this helps.

Thanks.  I'll try to follow along and see what I can learn.  It's just so time consuming to delete all of them.  They're all nothing but junk.

Is there a way to make the spam go to the trash instead of the spam folder?  This way I can go in and delete the trash.  This seems to be a common problem and I need a fix too.

If you delete the entire spam folder, won't it recreate itself the next time you get spam, but be empty?

OK, fix found! Smile

In horde, goto the folders view. Check the box next to the folder you want to completely empty.

Now goto the bottom of the page you will see a drop down box of options. There will be one in there which will allow you to completely delete the contents of the folder.

I found it the other day by accident. Worked great on the 6000+ msg in my spam box!

You could also set up an email filter on "SpamAssassin Spam Header begins with Yes" and set it to Discard.  Then anything flagged as spam just gets deleted.  I don't do this because I like to flip through the spam account I have just to make sure nothing went there by mistake, but it sounds like 6000+ messages might take a bit too long to pick through!
