For the past 2 days I have not been able to get incoming mail from this server.  Does anyone know why this is happening?

I'm on Neptune and I've been able to retrieve email with no problems.

As jojooboo asked, can you be more specific in what is going on?  Have you changed any sort of setting in cPanel (added mail forwarding, installed/used WebMail, etc.) or anything prior to this happening?

I am using Outlook and have not changed any settings at all.  It usually works when I open the program to check my email, but once in a while I get a message that says "unable to connect to the server".  Now this has been the case for the past couple of days.  When I go to the cPanel I have no problem getting the mail, but I shouldn't have to do this if it's already configured in Outlook.

Hi misterwynn,

At this point, I would contact support@lunarpages.com (yes, we are working on the holiday Smile) to see if we can help you with this issue to track down what is happening.  Please provide us with a test account and password so that we can check the mail on our own system to see if we have the same issue in Outlook with getting the incoming server to function.

I hope this helps.

I have DSL and my email retrieves automatically every one minute, and I haven't had any problems/error messages in the past two days.

Sometimes the "unable to connect to the server" error can be due to your computer network (or if you have DSL, sometimes it's due to needing to reset the DSL modem), so try rebooting your computer.  If that doesn't work, try unplugging then replugging the modem.  Sometimes, something as simple as that will correct the problem.

If that fails, the do what Miraenda is suggesting just to make sure that it may not be something with your account itself.

To add to Leighsww's thing, make sure the modem (and router if you use one) is off for at least 30 seconds to make sure the thing is reset

Good add, Justin!

Don't you just hate having to do that every so often?  So, humbug!
