No luck, I just sent mail...

There was no delivered mail to these addresses. Iam not sure where the mail is going, it just dissapears and it dosent matter what account is used, wait...

I just received mail that I sent over an hour ago. Just one of several.

I have also noticed that I cannot send mail with the authorization box check on my softwear. The box must be unchecked for mail to leave my outbox.

Never the less, my mail is still floating around out there-smewhere. Crying or Very sad

Hi trey333,

Have you tried using your ISPs outgoing SMTP server? Some ISPs block outgoing mail that isn't on their server.  If you change it to your ISPs server, and the mail goes out, then it would show they were blocking it, although it wouldn't explain why your messages show as going out when they really aren't.

You know, I new someone was going to say that sooner or later. I'll just go ahead and say it, I have AOL. Thats right, the black hole of the internet world.

But I never had a problem over the past 2 years with mail, and SMTP server settings. this just started since I switched my domain to Lunar, and let me say that I have nothing against Lunar, I love the way their setup compaired to what I had before. Even if this problem isn't resolved, I'm not going anywhere. My staff members and I will work around it.

trey333

I sent an email to 2 of my email accounts, one Lunarpages, one my ISP from the postmaster account and received both.  I did this from webmail.

I would put money on the reason you can't send is because of AOL.  Try changing your SMTP settings and see if that helps.  Unfortunately there isn't much else I can recommend at this point.

Yea, webmail works fine, that's how I have been sending mail the past week. I myself and other perfer to use Outlook Express and other applications.

I really appreciate all the work you and the others have provided in tracking this problem.

Note: While I was writting this, all of the mail finally arrived. It appears that it takes 90 minutes for any mail I send to arrive at it's final destination. Just check the times sent and the times received, there all coming in exactly 92 min. later. I won't complain, at least there being delivered.

Keep up the good work Kathleen, My home town is San Antonio

Happy Yule and New Year greetings to all.

I have set up a parked domain on my new lunarpages account (on bella) in order to use email addresses from a second domain name that I own.  I thought  that this was possible to do within the lunarpages hosting agreement. The DNS has resolved and is pointing to lunarpages, but email from the parked domain is not functional and I am receiving only a series of "message not delivered" errors.

I would appreciate help in resolving this issue (see error message below).  I have two other organizational websites that I would like to bring over to lunarpages but I need to know that email will be functional on parked and add-on domains.

Thanks.

Tom

Hi aporia,

Have you tried removing the new account and recreating it?  It could simply be that it wasn't configured properly when it was initially created, and this could correct the issue.

Also, I have email accounts on both parked domains and my addon domains, and they function exactly the same as the main domain email accounts, so we simply need to figure out why this one isn't working.

I hope this helps.

Miraenda, thanks for the quick response. I have removed and recreated the account from my email browser to no avail. I'll try removing and recreating it from C-Panel and then let you know how that works out.

OK, account deleted and re-created. Email sent about 15 minutes ago. Nothing has arrived yet.

In the past, email has been returned from the queue with an error message after 2-3 days. I'll see if anything arrives from the bella server later this evening.

Hi aporia,

If you do not receive the email soon, please email us at support@lunarpages.com and provide the test email account name as well as a temporary password to that account so that we may test it on our system to see if we have the same issue arise.

Thanks

". . . Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; Name service error for name=realbody.org type=MX:
Host not found, try again"

I'll try the support pages.

Quick response from tech support.  Thumbs Up Email now working.

I had configured the DNS to lunarpages IP address rather than the domain name. Now my email is well and functional.  On to phpBB style set-up challenges. Thanks for all your support. This is a very nice change from some previous hosting experiences! Applause
