Sad

Hello,

I really need some help here.

Last week my email was sending and receiving fine at our Tokyo branch office via Outlook 2000. My mail account then maxed out (left copies of all my mail on the server…) and I had to delete mail from the server via the webmail interface and increase my account’s quota. Then for some reason I could send mail via Outlook 2000 but not receive anymore. I could see incoming mail via webmail but I could not download it to my email client. Outlook says that new mail has been received successfully, there are no error messages but mail does not show up in the Inbox.

Today I set up my account at our HQ in Australia using Outlook 2000 and got the same problem ! I can send ok, but can only see received mail via the webmail interface.

Since I was able to download new mail to my Outlook 2000 Inbox until Friday night last week with no problem I can only imagine that there has been some sort of change on the server side. I even deleted my account and set up a new one but no change. Can someone tell me what changes I have to make to continue to download my mail properly.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Hi Robert,

In order to troubleshoot the issue, it would probably be a good idea to send a ticket to support@lunarpages.com  In the message, include a test email account with a password that you set up for us to use so that we can test it on our system.  This will allow us to determine if we see the same thing happening, and we can help to determine what is causing it.

Thanks

Hello Miraenda,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I sent a mail to support with all the details and 3 screen shots before I posted on this forum. The ticket number sent to me was BGF-78409 if that helps.

Regards,

Robert

Robert - Just as a potential workaround, if you setup a new account similar to the one you have right now, but use POP3 instead of IMAP - you can download and empty your mailbox onto your system .. which might clean things up for you (but it will delete them from the server after it downloads unless you specify otherwise).

Ed,

The account is already POP3, as it has always been. Mail will no longer download, though. I don't mind if they are deleted from the server (would prefer so actually) but I cannot get the mail to download at all.

More ideas please !

Robert

P.S. No reponse back from support yet...
