Outlook Express for my account's e-mail has stopped working... It cannot receive any e-mail for any email account on my LP account. It says there's an error... it was working perfectly a few hours ago, and yesterday, and a week before that. I tried reconfiguring it several times, to no avail Confused

Is something wrong with the Libra server?

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'crossc4', Server: 'mail.crosscreekva.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Same for the other 3.

Hi mussavcom,

We've had several customers experience this in the past and 90% of the time the problem lays with Outlook Express.  Usually you will find this problem is self correcting and will disappear,  If it persists then the following link contains information on trouble shooting this problem -
http://www.tiscali.co.uk/help/email/oe_errors_0x800ccc0e.html

Also, Steve just checked the Libra server to verify that POP3 mail is working fine, and there are no problems on that server, so it must be an isolated incident to your account.  If you are still having a problem after following the trouble shooting steps above, please mail support@lunarpages.com with your username, domain, and the full body of the errors (pasted into the e-mail) that you are receiving.

I hope this helps.

I am also experiencing a simlar problem running Outlook XP, 0x8004210A instead of 0x800CCC0B.  The problem is that Outlook 2002 does not play well with POP3 servers.  It tries to access the POP3 server with multiple threads causing some synchronization problems, one of which is my problem and possibly the one under discussion here.  I am not sure if the same hotfix works for Outlook Express but the URLs below may provide that information.

For more detail, check out http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=827349

and for fix http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=827149

Good luck, I will be posting the result from applying this fix (which requires that I install Office XP SP-2 first) in the next couple of days on the thread that I started "Lock on email (POP3) account preventing access to email".
