Hi,

I have been unsuccessful at getting the Chinese government and Chinese institutions to drop my IP/domain from their lists of blacklisted emails. At this point, the emails generated by my php application (hosted on LP) sent to China end up in a blackhole with no bounces whatsoever.

In order to get around this, I have registered another domain and hosted it on a different (not to be named) provider. I am trying to use that provider to basically telnet to their port 25, do my little authentication, and then send my email from the other provider's servers. For some reason, emails from there are fine and end up in China very well.

Now the problem: whenever I open a connection to the other host's port 25, I get this in reply:

451-The server has reached its limit for processing requests from your host.
451 Please try again later

I have called them and they confirmed to me that they don't even see the connection attempt being made.

Now, I want to know if anyone else has seen this problem. I am planning to open a ticket (on the other hand, it IS week-end, and I doubt this ticket will see a resolution at the first line of defence). I just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this type of behaviour and if there is a way around.

Cheers,
Cosmin

On a second thought, I think I should read better on how php socket reads behave before I cry wolf Smile

The problem was on my side (in my scripts) and it is now fixed . . . however the 451 error was very confusing.

Cheers,
Cosmin
