I am attempting to publish a site for the first time.  I am having two issues; first is it says the navigation bars will not work correctly until the Extensions are installed.  I have done this thru c-panel, yet still get the same message.  Also, it is notifying me of files that are on the server that are not on the site.  Since I have not published any files yet, can I just delete these files? This is a list of the files I found thru C-panel:

.spamassassin
.trash
etc
mail
public_ftp
public_html
tmp
www

I have published a site before on LunarPages using FP and have not had these issues.  I am using FP 2000.  The server is Gemini Confused

Thanks for your help.

It looks like FP is going in to the server on too high a level (outside of public_html).  Click file, open web, and type in:

http://yourdomain.com

(Changing yourdomain.com to your actual domain name).  Enter your C-Panel username and password.  When the site has opened, click file and close web.  Now open the web you have created in Front Page and attempt to republish from FP.

Ensure that you do not use http://www.yourdomain.com

Does this now produce better results?

The files and folder you list,
.spamassassin
.trash
etc
mail
public_ftp
public_html
tmp
www

are in the level "above" your web site and not part of your web site. You should not delete them.

Your web site files will be placed the public_html folder.

You are correct to publish to http://yourdomain.com. FrontPage will place the files in the public_html folder.

Before you can publish with FrontPage, the DNS entries for your domain name must point to LunarPages servers and they must be full "propagated". This may take several days. Don not try to publish to a temporaru URL.

You're welcome.

The FP extensions at first appear to be a law unto themselves, however, they can be tamed.  Let us know if you encounter any further issues, always glad to help  Thumbs Up
