Hi all. Does FrontPage store any logs that say what you've uploaded in the past?

I reeeeeeally need to find the dates that I uploaded some files, but I don't know of any logs that FP (Expression Web 2) keeps, whether on my computer, or on the server.

This information pertains to FrontPage 2003.

Above the design window, click the Web Site tab then below click the Remote Web Site tab. The remote site should appear on the right. You should be able to see the file dates on the server, although this will not show when they were uploaded.

Above the remote web site window, click Remote Web Site Properties then the Publishing tab. There is a button at the bottom of this dialog to view the log file, however this appears to be only the log of the most recent publishing. The file log is in your temporary internet files and if you have emptied these the View button will be disabled.

The Microsoft Knowledgebase indicates the View button is in a different location, however this is not the case on my computer.

More Troubleshooting Procedures
View the Log Files
View the log files to see if there is any information that may explain why you cannot publish your Web. To do this, follow these steps: 1. To view the FrontPage log files: a.  On the Tools menu in FrontPage, click Options, and then click the Publish tab.
b.  Click View log files.

2. To view the Wecerr.txt file: a.  Click Start, click Search, and then click All Files and Folders.
b.  In the All or part of the file name box, type wecerr.txt.
c.  In the Look in list, click My Computer.
d.  Click Search.
e.  View the file.

Another possibility is to use an FTP program to view the file dates on the server. That may indicate when the file was uploaded.
