I recently moved my website longislandghosthunters.com to lunar pages. I finally got everything straight, all my dns and domain transfers done.  Last night I made sure my fp extensions were installed then I used Http to upload my pages and it worked beautifully. (I'm running FP 2002 SP-1 )

This morning I made a few changes to the site and attempted to upload pages using http like I did last night and I got this error.

"The server could not complete your request. Contact your Internet Service provider or web server administrator to make sure that the server has the frontpage server extentions or sharepoint team services from microsoft installed."

When I click on details it tells me
403 Forbidden
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /_vti_bin/shtml.exe/_vti_rpc on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.  Apache/1.3.29 Server at www.longislandghosthunters.com Port 80

I am the administrator for this website. I am the creator of the site, the lunarpages account and the only person who has access to the accounts. Is there a problem with the server or on my end?

I'm having publising issues as of last night as well. As far as I can tell it's a server issue and not something on my end. But what?

Last time I had a publishing issue it sort of fixed itself after about a day.

Searching for that error message in Google returns lots of explanations, most of which indicate there's something misconfigured on the server. If it's still not working after 24 hours, send an email to tech support and be sure to include the error message. It may also be helpful to include the error messages from the server log (accessable via cPanel).

It may also be due to adding lines to the .htaccess file, which is always touchy when using the FP server extensions.

Here's a sample of the explanations of the error message...

My error is this - "Internet Explorer has been set to work offline, open IE and click view pages offline - if this doesn't work the server may not support FP Extensions, the server may be down, there may be an error on the server...."

That's not the error message verbatim but that's pretty much it. I'm not at the correct computer to copy the full text of the error.

We browse with Netscape, don't use Internet Explorer. I don't know if that really has anything to do with it.

We have done nothing differently than we ever have in the past. Just trying to publish some simple updates.  Crying or Very sad  Confused

I'm no expert of course and I'm at a total loss as to how to fix it. I've sent an email to Lunarpages support and am waiting.

"Internet Explorer has been set to work offline, open IE and click view pages offline"

This usually occurs when you try to publish or go to a web page when not already connected to the Internet. All you need to do is to make sure you're connected to the Internet then open Internet Explorer, select the File menu, and remove the check mark from "View pages offline" or "Work offline."

I'm on a cable modem and I believe I'm always connected even if my browser is not open.

I upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro (from 98) before I started doing Frontpage. My Internet Explorer stopped working (IE 6.1) shortly after the OS upgrade so now I browse with Netscape.

I can't even open Internet Explorer to change those settings if I had to. I've tried numerous times to fix IE with no success.

But the point is that I've been publishing successfully without my IE functionality for the last two months and now all of a sudden I get this error? So I'm baffled.

I'm still trading emails with Lunar Support. Nothing's been solved yet but hopefully soon! Thanks for the reply's.
