I have several questions.  Hopefully this post is in the right place and isn’t too long.  I’m fairly new to this website stuff and trying to learn as I go.  I recently bought a new on-line business.  The website was originally built with Microsoft FrontPage.  My computer wouldn't run FrontPage so I decided to use Microsoft Expression Web 3.  I did this because it allowed me to Import the website and it would work with the FrontPage extensions.  I spent countless hours updating the website in Expression Web and when we decided to publish it things went good.  There were some issues with a few things after we put it up under the first domain.  We figured there were a few things not working because there were 2 domain names.  One of which is supposed to be a redirect.  When the next one was published somehow we turned off the FrontPage extensions on the server.  After publishing to the second domain everything was very messed up.  The header and footer on all of my pages were missing; therefore navigating the site is nearly impossible.  To fix this we tried to reinstall the FrontPage extensions and publish it again.  Now it won't let us publish it.  We contacted the help desk at Lunarpages and they said all that could be done was reinstall the FrontPage extensions.  We did that several times and it still won't work.  All we get is a message that reads…

”The web server does not appear to have any authentication methods enabled.  It asked for user authentication, but did not send a www-Authenticate header.”

I have another small website at <another host> that was put up with FrontPage and FrontPage extensions a few years back.  So we went ahead and tried to publish the site to that location.  It worked fine.  The header and footer worked fine.  This told me that the issue was with the way Lunarpages has their FrontPage extension installed.  They said there is nothing they can do to change this.  I have also read some internet searches that say this is a common issue with several hosts.

Since it worked when I published it on <another host> should I move it there from Lunarpages?  Has anyone had a similar experience with FrontPage extensions?  I want to eventually redo the entire website but I really need to get this thing back up and running properly until I can get a new site built.   Can anyone offer some advice on fixing this with out a major site overhaul yet?  I'd like to keep it with Lunarpages but I need the site up and running soon.  Thanks in advance for your time and help.  It is appreciated.
Ben

A lot of times you have to uninstall and then reinstall FrontPage extensions to fix problems.
